Lords Park Elgin IL
Lords Park is a 108-acre regional park that was established by the Lord family here in Elgin in 1893. They purchased the farmland from Dr. Joseph Tefft and presented gave it to the City of Elgin to be used as a city park. There are numerous facilities in a beautiful setting with mature Hickory and Oak trees, rolling terrain, and water add-ons. It hosts picnic areas, playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts as well as an open play field used for practice or pickup games. A large little league baseball complex is part of the Lords Park property and includes ten fields used by the little league group.
